The soldier's book of Gustav Schwarzenegger is among the items stored at the Austrian State Archives. Records there show Arnold's father was a member of the notorious Nazi storm troops. An investigation by the Simon Wiesenthal Center, to which Schwarzenegger has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars, concluded that he joined the party voluntarily but found no evidence he committed war crimes.
